Do this
Boil at least one litre of water per portion. Add the noodles and stir once to separate them. Drain and shake the basket three times, hard.
Why it works
Alkaline noodles release a strong smell into the water. A small pot concentrates it. Water left on the noodles dilutes the soup in the bowl.
When to skip it
Skip the hard shake for soupless noodles. There you want a little water left so the sauce can spread.
